Some of our best evenings in Ubud were at Gogo Bali Cocktails Bar & Karaoke. It is not luxurious or especially trendy, and that is exactly what makes it so charming. The atmosphere is brilliant, the bartenders are lovely, and everyone feels comfortable almost instantly.

If there is one place we would recommend in Camiguin without hesitation, it is Saga Specialty Coffee. We went back almost every day, as much for the excellent coffee as for the food and the genuinely wonderful welcome from the whole team. The place is warm, nicely decorated, and immediately easy to settle into. But what stayed with us most was how kind the staff were. Every morning, even though it was not on the menu, they agreed to make us a simple omelette. And, without exaggerating, it was the best omelette we have ever eaten. That small gesture, repeated every day with a smile, says everything about the spirit of the place. If you spend a few days in Camiguin, treat yourself to breakfast or coffee there. It is one of our favourite addresses on the island.

If there is one bar we will remember from Siquijor, it is CocoRico, without hesitation. As soon as the sun goes down, the place comes alive with DJ sets, beer pong and an easy-going atmosphere where it is incredibly simple to meet both other travellers and plenty of locals. We spent several of our best evenings in the Philippines there. Between the cocktails, the beautiful sunsets facing the sea and all the people we met, every night had something special about it. It is the kind of place you go to for one drink and somehow end up staying all evening. For us, CocoRico is much more than a bar: it is one of our favourite addresses in Siquijor, and even one of our favourite bars of the whole Philippines trip.

If you are looking for one of the most beautiful places in Siquijor to have a coffee or simply enjoy an exceptional view, do not miss La Canopée. Perched above the tropical forest, it offers a spectacular panorama over the surrounding nature, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to slow down. We especially recommend going in the late afternoon. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful and turn the place into a proper viewpoint. Whether you come for coffee, a drink or simply to admire the landscape, it is well worth the detour and became one of our favourite spots in Siquijor.

We discovered DJ Station during Bangkok Pride Week, and from our very first night we understood why it is such an institution in the capital’s nightlife. We loved the atmosphere so much that we went back four or five times during our stay. Spread over several floors, the club has several different worlds: K-pop shows, drag performances, international pop and a more electronic atmosphere. Each floor has its own energy, so you can change the mood throughout the night without ever leaving the building. What we especially loved was the mix of locals and travellers, in a festive, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Although it is mainly popular with the gay community, everyone is welcome. Entry is 400 baht and includes two drinks worth around 300 baht. If you are looking for a lively, friendly and memorable night out in Bangkok, DJ Station is a place we recommend without hesitation.

If there is one beach not to be missed in Nusa Penida, it is Kelingking Beach. Between its dizzying cliffs, its golden sand and its turquoise water, the scenery is simply spectacular. Despite the presence of the unfinished elevator structure on the cliff, which distorts the landscape a little, the beauty of the place remains absolutely striking once there. We recommend going there late in the afternoon, ideally for sunset. The light becomes magnificent on the cliffs and the crowds decrease considerably, which makes the experience much more pleasant. If you want to go to the beach, bring good shoes. The descent is steep, physical and sometimes slippery, as is the climb back up. It requires some effort, but remains accessible to most people in good physical condition. And it is precisely this difficulty which limits the number of visitors on the beach, allowing you to enjoy a much calmer atmosphere than at the viewpoint located at the top. Once down, the setting is exceptional. Even though swimming is not always allowed depending on sea conditions, we were lucky enough to be able to get in the water and enjoy the waves. For us, Kelingking Beach is one of the most beautiful places in Nusa Penida and an experience we would definitely recommend.
