LGBTQ+ venue

A venue intended for the wider LGBTQ+ community.

The place in a few words

A historic fixture of Paris nightlife, Madame Arthur is a drag cabaret in Pigalle that opened in 1946. Serge Gainsbourg began his career here as a pianist in the 1950s! Today, the venue stages shows combining live singing, comedy, drag performances and playful reinterpretations of French and international songs.

What we loved

We went to a cabaret show paying tribute to Serge Gainsbourg and had a fantastic evening! The cast was incredible, with performers who were as talented as they were funny. Everything felt highly professional, the acts flowed seamlessly, and we laughed so much.

Our tip

We recommend booking the show on its own rather than the dinner-and-show package. We tried the meal and, frankly, it wasn't particularly memorable. Better to eat elsewhere beforehand and come for the cabaret! If you choose standing admission, arrive early enough to get a good spot and enjoy the performance.
