El Nido Island Hopping
General venue
A recommended place without a particular LGBTQ+ positioning.
The place in a few words
Island hopping is one of the best ways to explore Bacuit Bay in El Nido, Philippines. Four main routes (Tours A, B, C and D) take visitors to turquoise lagoons, beaches, limestone cliffs and snorkeling spots. Trips usually last a full day and can be booked on a shared or private boat.
What we loved
We chose a private boat and didn't regret it for a second! The limestone cliffs, turquoise lagoons and little beaches were beautiful. But our favorite part was having so many places almost entirely to ourselves. We left early and followed the route in the opposite direction from the usual group tours. Even at the famous Big Lagoon, we were literally the only ones there! Experiencing such a popular place like that was unforgettable.
Our tip
If your budget allows, we'd really recommend a private tour! You can adjust departure times and, depending on the operator and access restrictions, combine stops from different routes: we mixed Tours A and C. Compare operators based on your interests and budget; we booked through our hotel. Sharing the boat with other travelers can also help split the cost.
