The place in a few words

Opened in 1945, Rajadamnern Stadium is the world's first Muay Thai stadium and remains one of Thailand's most iconic venues for the sport. Fight nights take place several times a week, combining traditional pre-fight rituals with modern lighting, music and entertainment. Events vary depending on the day, but plan on spending around three hours there to enjoy the full experience.

What we loved

If you've never watched a Muay Thai fight before, this is definitely an experience we'd recommend in Bangkok! Beyond the fighters' performances, what really stood out to us was the atmosphere. The crowd gets completely into it, cheers come from every direction, and the hosts regularly involve the audience between fights. There's almost an American-style show element to it, but with all the intensity of Muay Thai. Those three hours absolutely fly by!

Our tip

Check the schedule before booking, as the events change depending on the night. On Saturdays, some ticket packages include unlimited beer, but make sure to check the conditions, as it's not included in every seating category. We'd also recommend booking online so you can choose your seat from the different sections of the stadium. You don't necessarily need front-row seats for a good view, but it's worth picking a spot that suits you!
