The place at a glance

Located in the north of Siargao, in Santa Monica, Alegria Beach is a long stretch of pale sand lined with coconut palms. Far from the bustle of General Luna, it feels peaceful and less developed. It's the kind of place to enjoy the sea, take a walk along the shore and simply slow down.

What we loved

We discovered Alegria Beach while exploring northern Siargao by scooter, taking our time along the way. And what a lovely surprise! Between the coconut palms, pale sand and the feeling of being far from the crowds, we immediately fell for the place. For us, it's simply the most beautiful beach on Siargao!

Our tip

If you're staying in General Luna, allow around 90 minutes by scooter to reach Alegria Beach. Rather than making the trip just for one beach, we'd recommend exploring northern Siargao and stopping at Pacifico Beach too. Set off early, bring plenty of water and aim to get back before dark.
