The place at a glance
Located on Koh Rong island in Cambodia, Long Set Beach, also known as 4K Beach, is a long stretch of white sand bordered by crystal-clear turquoise water. You'll find plenty of accommodation, restaurants and beachfront bars, along with various activities. Some ferries from Sihanoukville stop directly here, making it a convenient place to arrive on the island.
What we loved
During our stay on Koh Rong, Long Set Beach was where we found the liveliest atmosphere. During the day, things are pretty relaxed: you can enjoy the beach, go for a swim or simply settle down somewhere overlooking the sea. But in the evening, everything changes! Restaurants fill up, travellers gather for drinks and some bars host parties with music. We loved this mix of relaxation and nightlife, with plenty going on without having to venture far.
Our tip
If you want somewhere to enjoy the beach during the day and go out in the evening without needing a tuk-tuk, we'd really recommend staying on Long Set Beach. Just pay attention to your hotel's location: near the bars, things can stay lively until late, while the far ends of the beach are much quieter. It all depends on what you're looking for!
