The place in a few words

Located in Loay on the island of Bohol, OM Horizon Ecoresort is surrounded by nature, well away from the tourist areas. There are several bungalows, a shared pool with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, and a restaurant serving meals throughout the day. The property also offers activities such as yoga and Filipino cooking classes, as well as tours to explore the island. A lovely place to slow down for a few days.

What we loved

We booked the Deluxe Bungalow with Sea View, a huge cabin on stilts that was genuinely amazing! We really didn't expect so much space. We also loved the pool, with its open views over all the surrounding greenery. It's the kind of place where we were perfectly happy doing nothing, just enjoying the setting and spending time by the water.

Our tip

Keep in mind that the hotel is really secluded. Even the nearest restaurants and shops require a scooter or another form of transport. You can rent a scooter directly from the hotel, although it was a little more expensive than elsewhere. But if your main goal is to switch off, you can happily stay put: with the pool, restaurant and activities, there's plenty to enjoy without going anywhere.
