The place in a few words

Set on a boat moored along the Hoài River, Boat Living Hoi An is an unusual bar just steps from the old town. It's a lovely spot for a quiet drink while watching lantern-lit boats pass by. A few snacks may also be available.

What we loved

We spotted this bar during our lantern boat ride and immediately knew we wanted to come back. While the riverbanks were packed, we found ourselves almost alone, enjoying a drink and watching boats glide past. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed the contrast with the busy old town. Having a drink on a boat is pretty special, too!

Our tip

Go around dusk, when the lanterns start lighting up along the river. Find a seat overlooking the water and enjoy the scene away from the crowded riverbanks. We didn't eat here, so our recommendation is mainly for the drinks and atmosphere.
