In Da Nang, sunrise at the beach is much more than a pretty view: it's a daily ritual for residents. At first light, the beach comes alive and becomes a gathering place for locals, far removed from the tourist atmosphere later in the day. It's a special side of the city worth discovering!

What we loved

We loved being surrounded almost entirely by Vietnamese locals and watching their morning routines. Between groups exercising, people warming up on the sand and swimmers already in the water, the beach had an incredible energy for such an early hour! And with the sky gradually changing colours, it was a wonderful moment to experience.

Our tip

We really recommend arriving around 5 a.m., well before sunrise. It's not just about seeing the sun appear on the horizon, but also enjoying the changing colours of the sky beforehand. Check the sunrise time for the season, and don't turn up at the last minute or you'll miss much of the spectacle!
