The place in a few words

Katsouni Beach is a naturist beach on the south coast of Crete, near Ligres. Surrounded by rocks and made up of sand and pebbles, it remains relatively untouched by tourism. There are no sun loungers, bars or restaurants here: just the sea, a natural setting and plenty of peace and quiet.

What we loved

We really liked this beach for its wild setting and how few people were there. It's a beautiful spot, the water is lovely for swimming, and you can enjoy naturism in peace. We visited in May and, despite the already intense heat, had a great time. It's exactly the kind of beach we enjoy for relaxing away from the crowds.

Our tip

Definitely bring water and a beach umbrella! There are no shops or facilities, and very little natural shade. When we visited in May, the pebbles were so hot that we had to shelter in the shade of the rocks. Bring sun protection even outside summer, along with everything you need to spend a few hours here.
