The place in a few words

Hidden Beach is a small white-sand beach tucked away behind towering limestone cliffs on Matinloc Island. Invisible from the open sea, it reveals itself as you pass between the rock formations into a cove with shallow, turquoise water. You can only get there by boat, then make your way through the water to reach the beach, depending on conditions.

What we loved

We discovered Hidden Beach on our private island-hopping trip, which we arranged to leave before the regular tours and avoid the crowds as much as possible. What we really liked was how well hidden it is: from the sea, you wouldn't necessarily guess there's a little beach behind those massive rocks. It feels quite different from the lagoons and adds a nice change of scenery to the day.

Our tip

As with the other spots around El Nido, we recommend arriving early to avoid the tour boats. Hidden Beach is normally part of Tour C, but you can also include it in a customized private itinerary, depending on conditions and local permissions.
