The place at a glance

The Library is a tiny cocktail bar tucked away in Bassac Lane, one of Phnom Penh's popular spots for a night out. With bookshelves along the walls and a wide-open frontage facing the lane, you can soak up the atmosphere even when sitting inside. It's a fairly relaxed place, ideal for having a drink and a chat.

What we loved

We discovered The Library during our evenings exploring Bassac Lane, moving from one bar to another as the mood took us. We loved its laid-back atmosphere and how it feels like you're outside even when seated indoors. Their espresso martini was genuinely excellent! And because the bar is so small, with tables close together, it's easy to strike up a conversation with the people next to you. That's a big part of its charm.

Our tip

Make the most of their cocktail selection and try something you wouldn't normally order. And if you fancy meeting people, grab a seat at the counter or one of the little tables. Here, starting a conversation can be as simple as saying hello to whoever is sitting next to you!
