Located in Hanoi, Tầm Vị is a Vietnamese restaurant that has gained attention on social media for its Michelin star and relatively affordable prices. It serves traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a welcoming setting, with an especially extensive menu. It's a chance to enjoy a Michelin-starred dining experience without necessarily spending a fortune.

What we loved

We first came across this restaurant on social media and, to be fair, we were a little skeptical about all the hype. But we weren't disappointed at all! The food is refined and delicious, and there are so many dishes to choose from that we struggled to decide. It was a lovely surprise that showed us its reputation goes well beyond Instagram.

Our tip

Book your table online, ideally at least a week ahead if you're planning to go for dinner, as tables fill up quickly. We wouldn't recommend turning up without a reservation. And if you're choosing what to order, definitely try the thịt kho tàu, pork braised in a caramelized sauce. We loved it!
