In the heart of Soho, the Duke of Wellington is an iconic London gay pub with a particularly bear-friendly crowd, while welcoming everyone. Expect the feel of a traditional British pub, music, weekend DJs and themed nights, including drag bingo and quizzes. It's a lively spot for a few pints and meeting people.
What we loved
It's become one of our regular stops whenever we go out for drinks in London! There's always a crowd, a great atmosphere, and we often end up chatting with other people. We also love the traditional pub feel, the relaxed vibe and the friendly staff. It's the kind of place that makes us want to come back on every trip.
Our tip
Check the events schedule, as there are often fun themed nights. If you get the chance, try one of the pub's charity-supporting beers: some help support Stonewall Housing, an organisation assisting LGBTQ+ people facing housing difficulties. The participating beers can change, so ask the bar staff what's currently available.
