The place in a few words
Secret Lagoon is a small hidden lagoon tucked between the limestone cliffs of Miniloc Island, in Bacuit Bay near El Nido. Reached through a tiny opening between the rocks, it's one of the classic stops on Island Hopping Tour A. Inside, you'll find a shallow pool surrounded by towering rock walls. It's a fairly short visit, but definitely an unusual little spot!
What we loved
This was our second stop after Big Lagoon and, once again, we were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves! Getting in is already quite fun: you have to squeeze through a small opening between the rocks to discover the hidden lagoon behind it. The place itself is lovely, although not necessarily the most impressive spot in El Nido. But enjoying it peacefully, with perfectly clear water and nobody else around, made all the difference!
Our tip
Just like Big Lagoon, we really recommend leaving very early on a private tour, even if it costs more. Secret Lagoon is small and shallow, so once the groups arrive, the water can quickly turn cloudy and the narrow entrance becomes a bottleneck. Thanks to our early departure, we got to experience it in ideal conditions. Having the whole place to yourself really makes it a completely different experience!
