Pop Up Bar

The place in a few words

Near Cloud 9, Pop Up Bar is a small beachfront bar on Jacking Horse Beach. Forget fancy beach clubs: think colorful benches, beanbags, palm trees and a laid-back, slightly bohemian atmosphere where there's no rush. It's an easy place to stop after surfing, with your feet in the sand and a view of the ocean.

What we loved

We stumbled upon this bar completely by chance while wandering around Cloud 9. A musician was playing live that day, so we simply sat down with a beer and watched the last colors of the day. We especially loved how spontaneous it all felt, with no plans and no desire to leave. One of those little breaks that ended up becoming one of our favorite memories of Siargao.

Our tip

We recommend pairing a surf session with a drink at Pop Up Bar. Several surf schools are right nearby, so it's easy to do both. It's also a good alternative if you want to enjoy the area without entering Cloud 9's paid-access zone.
