The place at a glance

In Siem Reap, Khmer House Resort is a hotel surrounded by greenery, slightly outside the city centre. It has two swimming pools lined with loungers, buildings with balconies and an on-site restaurant. It’s a lovely place to unwind between sightseeing days while still being just a short tuk-tuk ride from the Old Market.

What we loved

This was our second hotel in Siem Reap, and the welcome immediately stood out: a little panna cotta, thoughtful touches and even an early check-in. We discovered one already huge pool… only to realise there was a second one, 40 metres long! We loved the lush greenery, the loungers around both pools and the peaceful atmosphere. We also really enjoyed the food at the restaurant, including breakfast.

Our tip

The hotel is a little outside the centre, but getting around by tuk-tuk is easy. During our stay, each room could use one free ride per day to the Old Market, at certain times in the morning or afternoon. Ask reception about the current schedule and conditions, and arrange your return trip separately.
