General venue

A recommended place without a particular LGBTQ+ positioning.

The place in a few words

In central Paris, the Bourse de Commerce is a historic building transformed into a contemporary art museum for the Pinault Collection. Its impressive dome and architect Tadao Ando’s intervention bring old and new together. Works from the collection are shown through changing exhibitions rather than a fixed permanent display.

What we loved

When we visited, we saw Minimal, a temporary exhibition dedicated to minimalist art. Beyond the artworks themselves, what struck us most was how naturally they fitted into the architecture. We especially loved the dialogue between the contemporary installations, the building’s proportions and its grand rotunda. Everything felt cohesive, as though the exhibition and the space were one experience.

Our tip

Check the programme before visiting, as exhibitions change regularly. Tickets can be bought on site if time slots remain, but booking online is recommended to secure entry. Allow around 90 minutes to enjoy both the artworks and the architecture.
