GOD (Gays on Display)

The place at a glance

GOD, short for “Gays on Display”, is one of Siem Reap’s handful of gay bars. Tucked away in a small alley in the town centre, it combines music, cocktails and drag performances. It’s somewhere to stop for a drink or stay out a little later, although the atmosphere naturally depends on the night you visit.

What we loved

We went on a weekday, and even though it wasn’t particularly busy, we had a really nice time. The atmosphere was good, the bartenders and the rest of the team were genuinely lovely, and drinks were very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the drag shows too, although, to be honest, we thought the performances at Barcode were a notch better. We’re still glad we checked GOD out.

Our tip

If you want to explore Siem Reap’s gay bars, we’d suggest stopping by GOD at least once. Try going a little later in the evening if you’re looking for a livelier atmosphere. If drag performances are your main priority, though, we’d put Barcode first.
