有滋有味担仔麵

Danzai noodles (擔仔麵) are one of Tainan's signature dishes. Served in a small bowl, the noodles come in a fragrant broth with meat, traditionally pork, although beef versions exist too, like the one we tried, and sometimes a shrimp. It's a simple dish with deep roots in the city's food culture, often found in small traditional eateries.

Garden Night Market is Tainan's largest night market, in a city famous for its food. Hundreds of stalls offer a maze of Taiwanese street food, grilled dishes, seafood, desserts and drinks. Beyond the food, you'll also find clothing, small shops and carnival games. It's a lively open-air market with something happening around every corner.

Its historic façades and colorful lanterns overhead bring together local heritage and contemporary creativity.
