The Cap Estel coves in Èze are small rocky beaches reached on foot from Saint-Laurent beach. It's a fairly secluded spot on the French Riviera, popular mainly with gay visitors and naturists but open to everyone. No sun loungers or restaurants here, just rocks, the Mediterranean and a relaxed atmosphere.

Tucked away in a narrow street in Nice's Old Town, Coco Bar is a lovely little gay (friendly) bar with a few outdoor tables. With its pistachio-green decor, good cocktails and warm atmosphere, it's a great spot for drinks with friends. Rather than a big club night, expect an intimate setting where it's easy to chat and meet people.

Tucked away on the Estérel coast near Saint-Raphaël, Cap Roux cove is a small naturist beach surrounded by red rocks, with lovely Mediterranean views. Far from the large, developed beaches of the French Riviera, it's a fairly wild spot where people come to swim, soak up the sun and switch off.
