The place in a few words

Located in Busan's Gwangalli neighborhood, Doldak is a Korean restaurant known for spicy chicken dishes, particularly dakbokkeumtang, cooked with vegetables in a flavorful, spicy sauce and served on a large hot stone plate. It's a lively, welcoming place where dishes are shared around the table, with a distinctly Korean atmosphere.

What we loved

We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance while desperately looking for somewhere to eat, as everything was starting to close. When we arrived, we noticed that almost everyone there was local, and there was even a queue! We took that as a good sign, and we weren't disappointed. It was our first time trying this kind of Korean dish, and we loved it! Between the excellent food, lively atmosphere and excitement of discovering new flavors, it was a wonderful surprise.

Our tip

Come hungry and, ideally, with a few people, as portions are generous and meant for sharing. If you're not used to spicy food, ask for the mildest option. And save a little room for fried rice (bokkeumbap) at the end of the meal, a Korean favorite that makes the most of the remaining sauce!
